Yesterday I finished painting a fairly large piece (36"x48") which I called Flower Sisters. Most of the time I have one main idea when I begin a painting and everything else appears around it only because "it feels right to me". I think an artist should leave room for the art to become what it wants to, I know it sounds a little crazy but it works! This is just what happened here. Here is how these little sisters emerged and transformed on my canvas.
